Mark has been writing for as long as he can remember. After winning the first-ever Lillian Kroll Prize for Creative Writing at Western University, where he completed his Honors degree in English Lit, he continued to write fiction and poetry. Published in magazines including Canadian Author & Bookman, CommuterLit, Litro and Chickadee, he is also one half of Levins & Young, the creative team behind the popular comic strip Then Comes Marriage, about which Lynn Johnston said, “there’s no question you’re ahead of the pack… I don’t think you need much more from me.” Nuf said.
Mark’s new book, The Launch, is inspired by his experience with getting Then Comes Marriage into the funny pages. Mark has this to say about his newest project:
The Launch includes comics, crime (a kidnapping), a buddy comedy, insurance (not very much, I promise), a love story (that’s what we’re calling narcissism these days, right?), and a thrilling new watershed moment in Canadian-American relations.
